If you have never heard of Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide, it is amazing! I am currently on Round 2, Week 2. It kills me every time but gets me in the best toned shape. Kayla created the program because she saw most women she trained wanted a similar long, toned and lean body. So, she and her partner Toby created the 12 week Bikini Body Guide(BBG). The workouts only last about 28 minutes so they are quick and easy to fit into the day.
I was able to meet Kayla a few weeks ago and she was so kind, supportive and real which made me want to continue the workout even more. I love this guide and get all my friends to join in and they love it too. It is killer so I recommend starting with the 4-week retraining to get used to the program.
The program basics:
- The program lasts 12 weeks(when done you have repeat the 12 weeks or there is a guide for weeks 13-24)
- You workout 5-6 times a week
- 3 resistance workouts a week that are only 28 minutes! There are 4 sets of resistance exercises that last 7 minutes each.
- 3 days of cardio for 40 minutes each- such as walking, jogging, stairmaster, cycling
This schedule works perfect because the workouts don’t last long and are planned for you! I have never done another exercise that is as beneficial as this workout. You can buy the guides here or download her app which is $20 a month but so worth it!
